Joad Raymond
Joad Raymond is a London-based Welsh musician, scholar and writer. He brings the relationship between creativity, narrative, history and music to Death N' Stuff. He also brings a wealth of information about narrative and story from his many years as a lecturer and scholar in English Literature.
As ‘The Unattached’, collaborating with other London musicians, he released an album of ‘future folk’ music entitled Songs for the Prophets (WIAIWYA, 2019), exploring the relationship between music, history and place. The song-cycle was based around 17th Century prophets, with the music recorded across the UK at historical locations. He is Professor of Renaissance Studies at Queen Mary University of London. Joad has published twelve books on literature and history, especially the history of news in Europe.
